If you are asked to speak about the concept of corporate gifts, then what would you like to say? There are several misconceptions that are associated with this that are often restricted to certain category of people.
These are a certain specific range of items that are available in the market for the purpose of promotional gifting. Remember, corporate gifts are given never to masses and unknown people. Rather, they are given to people who are well known to the organization and intricately associated.
Most of the times they are given to those business clients from whom long term gains are expected or profit has been in flow. These gifts are also given away to people who are working within the company as employees. And they can also be given to eminent personalities, celebrities and local law authorities to build a good positive rapport with the organization.
These items are mostly higher in quality and are given to selected few. They are given away to create a positive impression of their status among these people. It is not for marketing purpose. Some items commonly used include leather folios, business bags, tie, mementos, diaries and office planners, gold plated pens, wrist watches, etc.
Often people try to refer these items as promotional gifts. But to be honest, these are not so. Promotional gifts are absolutely different. These are the ones which are given away to masses with aim of marketing. These people are not known by the organization. Rather, anyone is gifted with these products in order to promote the company’s brand name.
These items are given away or distributed as an effective measure of marketing campaign. The items that are selected for this purpose are normally less expensive in pricing. Some items used commonly for this purpose are pens, key rings, mugs, posters, calendars, caps, t-shirts, wrist bands, mouse pads, USB sticks, umbrellas, folders, bags, etc.
